Their business at the time thrived on website conversions (event signups) so rather than concede the situation, we jumped into action giving them a completely new marketing platform built on top of their existing WordPress website.
Audit. We had to take stock of Cupid’s assets. Their internal team was WordPress-savvy but not actual developers. They needed an easy way to test out offers and ideas without incurring a lot of ongoing monthly costs. Their 35+ markets meant that they needed an easy way to iterate “what worked” with specific language for each city.
Design & Development. It was an out-of-the-box idea but we decided we could basically make Cupid’s a second website living in a subdomain “marketing.cupids.org” and the marketing team would have the ability to create new pages quickly for their optimization testing.
To keep costs down and save time we picked a theme that was extremely easy to work with, and at any point their in-house team got stuck in page production they had an easy hotline to our developers to write in code to fix as-needed. It was a hit!
Launch and Feedback Loop. We worked with Cupid’s to facilitate an ongoing program to test and review new ideas on a weekly basis. Pages were analyzed with heatmaps and other metrics to help us identify what was working and what needed to be improved. The result was that they were able to operate a completely new marketing program via a web platform that seamlessly integrated with the “actual” website and gave them more control over the nuances of their website than they had ever had before.
